Investigation after Hawarden rail death

A 46-year-old woman died after being struck by a train in Flintshire.

North east Wales coroner's office said the woman would not be formally identified until after a post mortem is held on Thursday.

The incident happened near Slack Lane road bridge, Pentrobin, Hawarden, at 1815 Monday. The woman was declared dead at the scene.

British Transport Police are investigating but say there are no suspicious circumstances.
