Pay strike suspended at Ifor Williams Trailers
A union is suspending industrial action at a Flintshire trailer-making firm after managers made a new pay offer.
The Unite union says Ifor Williams Trailers (IWT), Deeside, has revised its offer to staff who rejected an initial 1.5% rise.
Further action planned for Thursday and Friday has been suspended as union members will be balloted over new the offer.
Workers have staged four one-day strikes.
Their union said members wanted the same pay as workers at the firm's Corwen factory.
Last month, the firm claimed its offer of £9.10 per hour was above average for Deeside.
A spokesman for IWT Deeside said: "We can confirm that the industrial action planned for Thursday and Friday has been called off pending a ballot of Unite members on the improved offer from the company."
