Man, 70, bailed over Gresford burglary

A 70-year-old man has been bailed by police in connection with a house burglary in which a woman was tied up.

The woman, a visitor to the property on Chester Road, Gresford, Wrexham, managed to free herself and alert police after the incident on Monday.

North Wales Police said they arrested the man in Liverpool on Tuesday and released him later that day pending further inquiries.

A vehicle has been seized and is the subject of forensic examination.

Det Sgt Paul Kelly said officers want to hear from witnesses who may have seen an 'R' registered white coloured people carrier vehicle in the area.
