Fourteen held in Rhyl crime crackdown

Police say they have arrested 14 men during a two-day operation to tackle crime and illegal drugs in Rhyl and its surrounding areas.

Officers executed three search warrants on Friday and another four on Saturday.

Arrests were made for a variety of offences ranging from suspicion of assault and wounding to theft and drug dealing.

Those held range from youths to a man in his 50s with arrests made in the Kinmel Bay, Rhyl and Abergele areas.

North Wales Police said 18 officers were involved with support from CID and the dog section.

Officer say they believe they have also recovered stolen property.

Sgt John Aspinall said: "This has been a further example of the positive work being undertaken to tackle crime in the Rhyl area."
