A woman who butted a former Manchester City defender has escaped custody after admitting an affray charge.

Amy Temple, 22, of Maes Famau, Rhyl, also admitted failing to answer her bail last week when she appeared at Mold Crown Court on Tuesday.

The court heard she butted defender Javan Vidal in an incident in Rhyl.

She received an intensive alternative to custody (IAC), a community order which involves "thinking skills" sessions, a curfew and £340 costs.

Last week, the former Manchester City player, also 22, admitted an affray and he received a 30 week prison sentence suspended for a year.

The court heard that an unknown male had male a sexually explicit remark to Temple who was seen to chase the man around a parked car outside a kebab shop at 03:50 BST on 30 May.

The footballer, who was recently released from his contract with the Premier League side, intervened but Temple delivered a powerful butt to him.

Vidal was then seen to chase her, knock her to the ground and kick her.
