Driver dies after car hits tree at Rossett, Wrexham

A man has died after his car hit a tree in Rossett in Wrexham, say North Wales Police.

It happened at Junction 7 of the A483 at 06:46 BST on Thursday.

A force spokesman said the 35-year-old driver of the Honda car was pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin have been informed.

A police helicopter and dogs helped in a search of the area. The road has now been cleared.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact the roads policing unit on 101 or 0845 6071001 (Welsh line) or 0845 6071002 (English line) or text 66767.
