Girl, 15, questioned on Denbighshire distraction thefts

A 15-year-old girl from Denbighshire has been released on police bail after questioning about a series of distraction burglaries.

North Wales Police said they had an "overwhelming response" from the public about the incidents in the Ruthin and Rhyl areas.

A 14-year-old has also been arrested in connection with the offences.

Det Insp Jo Williams thanked the public for its help and said officers were "working through all this information".

Police said seven incidents were reported in recent days involving a teenager knocking on doors, asking for sponsorship money for a swimming competition or for money for a diabetes charity.
