Appeal over robbery at bookmakers in Vale Road, Rhyl

North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a betting shop in Rhyl.

A man believed to be in his early twenties stole money from the bookmakers on Vale Road at about 20:10 BST on Thursday.

He was wearing a black hoodie, black trousers and trainers and a balaclava.

Police want to talk to the driver of a small Fiesta-type car driving by at the time who may have seen the robber as he ran off down Millbank Road.

Det Insp Jo Williams said: "Our investigations are at an early stage and we are studying CCTV footage from various locations.

"At 20:14 BST the man we believe may be the offender is seen to run across Vale Road into Millbank Road.

"At that time a small saloon car, similar to a Fiesta is seen to turn into Millbank Road. We are appealing for the driver who will have seen the man, to come forward."

Anyone with information can call North Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
