Five in hospital after five-car collision in Rhyl

Five people were taken to hospital after a five-car collision in Rhyl.

Three ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene at Ty Newydd at 13:20 GMT on Wednesday.

The casualties, including a 64-year-old woman and a two-year-old child, were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital at nearby Bodelwyddan.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said the woman and two other casualties were placed on spinal boards as a precaution before being taken to hospital.
