Gang rob two women at knifepoint in house in Flint

Five masked men entered a house and robbed two women at knifepoint, say North Wales Police.

The pair were unharmed in the incident at Mae Gwyn, Flint, on Sunday at 21:00 GMT.

Det Insp Jason Devonport said the men, wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, escaped with cash and jewellery.

He said it was not yet known whether the gang fled the area on foot or in a vehicle.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Police said the incident was not believed to be related to another where three masked men entered a house in North Street, Sandycroft, Flintshire, late last month.

In that incident a man was stabbed before three men, who were wearing balaclavas, left the scene empty-handed.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident on Saturday 29 October at 23:20 BST.
