Aberdeen Marks and Spencer store evacuated due to fire

A Marks and Spencer store in Aberdeen city centre was evacuated after a fire broke out.

The incident happened at the city's main branch of the store in the St Nicholas Centre on Friday morning.

Grampian Fire and Rescue Service told BBC Scotland there was a small fire which was quickly extinguished, with little damage and no casualties.

Hundreds of shoppers and staff were evacuated but were later able to return when the store reopened.
