The funeral has taken place of a Flintshire teenager who drowned after going missing following a works Christmas party.

A major search was mounted for Haydn Evans, 18, from Mold, after he disappeared at the party at Carden Park Hotel in Broxton, Cheshire, on 17 December.

His body was discovered 13 days later at the lake at Carden Park.

A funeral service was held at St Mary's Church, Mold, on Friday morning.

A memorial page has also been set up on social networking website Facebook, for friends to pay their own tributes.

A Home Office post mortem examination found he had drowned.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
