Armed pub robbery police appeal in Gronant, Flintshire

Detectives have issued an appeal after an armed robbery at a north Wales pub.

Police said five masked men, one armed with a hammer and another with a wheel brace, threatened staff at the Bells of St Mary's, Gronant, Flintshire.

North Wales Police said no one was hurt in the incident at around 23:00 GMT on Sunday and the robbers made off with a substantial amount of cash.

The force asked anyone with information to call 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
