Man, 28, stabbed at house in South Avenue, Prestatyn

A 28-year-old man is in hospital after being stabbed at a house in Denbighshire.

The attack happened in South Avenue, Prestatyn, at 22:00 BST on Monday, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

It is understood a number of people had entered the house and assaulted the victim with a bladed weapon.

The man is being treated at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan, and North Wales Police are appealing for information.

Supt Jane Banham said officers were anxious to speak to anyone who might have any information about the incident.

"This is a particularly nasty crime and we are using every resource to bring the offender/offenders to justice," she said.

"I am urging anyone who might have been in the area the time and noticed anything suspicious to contact the police or contact 101."
