A55 crash: Pedestrian named after crash near Rhuallt

A pedestrian who died following a three vehicle collision on the A55 in Denbighshire has been named as Raymond Braisdell.

The 69-year-old from Wrexham died following the incident on the eastbound carriageway at Rhuallt Hill at 21:30 BST on Saturday.

North Wales Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision.

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out and an inquest into Mr Braisdell's death is due to open.

The collision led to the closure for a time of the A55 between junctions 28-29.

Police are asking anyone who was travelling in any direction on the A55 on Rhuallt Hill between approximately 21:30 BST and 21:40 BST who saw a pedestrian to contact them 101.
