Wrexham: Police treating Glynis Solmaz death as murder
Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Wrexham say they are now treating it as murder.
Officers were called to Bryn Hafod, Caia Park, on Wednesday morning, where they found Glynis Eileen Solmaz, 65.
Police want to speak to people who saw Ms Solmaz between last weekend and Wednesday, and said she was at a local chemist shop on Monday morning.
She lived alone and had two Rottweiler dogs which she is said to have exercised regularly in the area.
It is understood she visited local shops and pubs in Wrexham.
Police said on Wednesday they were treating the death as suspicious, but after further investigations had now launched a murder inquiry.
Det Ch Insp Mark Hughes said: "We have launched a murder investigation and would appeal to anyone who may have any information that may assist us to call Wrexham CID at North Wales Police on 101 quoting incident number P026849 or anonymously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Ch Insp Alex Goss reassured local residents there would be extra police patrols in the area.
"Incidents such as this are not common in Wrexham and we are determined, with public support, to bring those responsible to justice," added Ch Insp Goss.
