The family of a woman murdered in her home have described their "absolute devastation" at the "unthinkable circumstances" of her death.

Glynis Solmaz, 65, from Wrexham, was "a very popular, bubbly person with a huge heart," said her daughters, Donna and Paula.

They said they had been overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown to them.

Two men have been remanded in custody charged with murder and conspiracy to burgle.

Alexandros Wetherill, 23, from Wrexham and Christopher Curran, 34, of no fixed address, will next appear in court on 7 May when they will be asked to enter pleas.
