D Geraint Williams: Ex-head of Castell Alun, Hope, dies
A retired head teacher who promoted comprehensive education in north east Wales in the 1980s has died, aged 91.
D Geraint Williams was the first head of Castell Alun High School in Hope, Flintshire, for 27 years after it opened in 1958.
He was an advocate of comprehensive education and played a part in the introduction of comprehensive education in Flintshire.
His funeral service will be at Hope Parish church at 13:00 BST on Friday.
It will be followed by committal at Pentrebychan crematorium, Wrexham.
