Wrexham shop robbery thieves escape with cash

Two thieves have escaped with cash from a shop in Wrexham after threatening two members of staff.

The raiders wearing motorcycle helmets went into Abbey Stores in Abenbury Road at 22:00 GMT on Friday.

No-one was injured but one member of staff was treated for shock. Both offenders are believed to have left on foot towards the Tan y Coed area.

Police are conducting house-to-house inquiries and have asked anyone with information to call Wrexham CID on 101.
