Man found safe and well after Hawarden River Dee search

A man in his 20s who sparked a search after a note and a pair of shoes were found near a river has been found safe and well, police have said.

The shoes were found near the River Dee at Hawarden, Flintshire, last Thursday.

North Wales Police said they were concerned for the man's welfare and a search was launched, which included Rhyl coastguards and Flint RNLI.

The force said the man had been found on Saturday.
