Appeal as pedestrian hit by bus dies in Sarn Lane, Bodelwyddan

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a bus in Denbighshire.

Police, who are appealing for witnesses, and other emergency services were called to Sarn Lane, Bodelwyddan, at 07:48 GMT on Saturday.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

North Wales Police said there were a "small number" of passengers on the bus, and one was treated in hospital for minor injuries. The road is closed and diversions are in place.

Ch Ins Darren Wareing said: "The investigation into the collision is already under way and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who was travelling along that stretch of road after 7.30am this morning to contact officers at the roads policing unit on 101."
