Glen Dimplex to create 50 jobs at Buckley factory

An electrical heating manufacturer is to create 50 new jobs at a Flintshire factory.

Ireland-based Glen Dimplex, which employs 10,000 globally, will build medical and commercial refrigerators in Buckley.

It will begin recruiting immediately and hopes to fill the posts in a year.

The Welsh government has invested an undisclosed amount in the development, and Economy Minister Edwina Hart said it was "great news for the area".

Mark Abbott, managing director of Glen Dimplex Professional Appliances, said: "As well as enabling us to consolidate our manufacturing base in the UK, this new facility will enable us to capitalise on new and lucrative business opportunities.

"It's exciting times all round."
