More tests needed after death of baby boy in Holywell

More tests are needed following a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death of a baby boy in Flintshire, say police.

The three-week-old baby was taken to hospital after paramedics alerted police about an "infant in difficulty" in Holywell on 30 September.

His death is being treated as unexplained.

A joint investigation is being carried out on behalf of the coroner by North Wales Police and other agencies.

Det Insp Simon Williams said: "A post mortem examination was undertaken today which will require further medical tests and interpretation before the pathologist can establish a cause of death.

"Until that time and until other enquiries are complete, it would be inappropriate to add anything further."
