Takeaways face ban from opening near schools in Denbighshire

Takeaways could be banned from opening within 400m (437yards) of schools in Denbighshire.

The council will discuss a proposal to ban takeaways and drive-through restaurants at a planning meeting on 15 October.

The plan is being drawn up in a bid to improve children's health and tackle the problem of obesity.

Restaurants, shops, cafes, public houses, wine bars and night clubs would not be covered by the rules.
