Two Wrexham men have appeared before magistrates charged with the murder of a 25-year-old man on the town's Caia Park estate.

Sion Davies died on Deva Way in the early hours of Saturday 11 October.

Two men, aged 32 and 53, were remanded in custody by magistrates in Mold on Thursday and will appear before Mold Crown Court on Friday.

Two women have been released on police bail after being questioned by officers from North Wales Police.

Meanwhile, Mr Davies's family have paid tribute a loving son, brother, partner and grandson.

In a statement they said: "Sion was full of life and laughter. He had a great sense of humour and was well known and very popular in the community.

"People always said he was so kind-hearted. His death has broken our hearts and we will always miss him.

"We would like to thank his many friends and the local community for their support at this dreadful time."
