The woman in her mid-forties was taken to hospital after the collision on the Lower Denbigh Road at the crossroads of the B5428 from Trefnant to Henllan.

Police had appealed for help trying to identify the cyclist following the crash, which happened at about 10:50 GMT on Friday.

As a result officers were able to contact relatives but the cyclist died overnight.
