Jailed rapist Alistair Calvert 'took advantage' of victim
A 26-year-old man has been jailed for nine years for raping a woman who was "in no fit state" to consent to sex.
Alistair Calvert, of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, was sentenced at Mold Crown Court for the attack, which happened in Degnawy, Conwy, November 2012.
North Wales Police said he "took advantage" of the victim.
"The law is clear; being vulnerable through drink or drugs does not, and never will, imply consent," Det Insp Sion Williams said after the hearing.
