A north Wales farmer believes his 11kg (24lb 2oz) lamb could be the largest in Britain.

The ram, nicknamed "The Big One" was born by Caesarean section after its mother, a Texel cross, was rushed to the local vets in Denbigh.

Farmer Dafydd Fon Ifan of Ty Mawr Farm in Llanrhaeder said the lamb, which is twice the average size, was doing well.

In 2013, an ewe called Joan was born in Lancashire in 2013 weighing 24lb.
