A busy A-road in Denbighshire which was closed for essential maintenance work is to reopen over a week ahead of schedule.

The A525 Nant y Garth Pass between Ruthin and Wrexham has been closed since Monday morning and was initially scheduled to be shut for two weeks.

But Denbighshire council said it will reopen at about 19:00 BST on Friday.

Traffic lights will remain for other necessary roadworks along the route.
