Work is to start on a purpose-built base for a Denbighshire firm to maintain surveillance and targeting equipment for the UK's armed forces.

St Asaph-based Qioptig won an £82m six-year deal with the Ministry of Defence and will service equipment such as night-vision goggles and weapon sights.

The new £3.7m warehouse will be built next to the current Qioptiq premises at St Asaph Business Park.

It is due to be completed by the end of the year.
