Boy, 13, burned in fall into bonfire in Holyhead

A 13-year-old boy has been released from hospital after receiving hospital treatment when he fell into a bonfire.

He suffered burns to his back and hands after the incident near the Peibio area of Holyhead, Anglesey, last Friday.

He was initially taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, and later transferred to Alder Hey children's hospital in Liverpool.

A spokeswoman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said he had returned home after treatment.

In a separate incident a three-year-old boy from the Wrexham area suffered slight burns to his face from a type of Chinese sky lantern.

He has also returned home after treatment at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
