Two people remain in a 'critical' condition after a house fire at Penrhyn Bay near Llandudno on Monday.

The 38-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were taken to hospital with breathing difficulties after being overcome by smoke.

It is understood they are friends of the woman occupant of the house.

A girl of 13, named locally as Alishaa Williams, was praised for rescuing her eight-year-old sister and an 18-month-old baby in the blaze at Trafford Park.

Her 32-year-old mother was also taken to hospital following the fire in the early hours of Monday morning, but was later released.

The North Wales Fire Service is continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
