Arrests after racial assault and theft in Abergele shop

North Wales Police have arrested two men after a racially aggravated assault on a shop worker in a convenience store in Abergele, Conwy.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft, and a 24-year-old man on suspicion of racially aggravated assault and theft.

The incident at the Premier Store in Maes Canol, Abergele, happened at 1710 GMT on Monday.

Both men are in custody at St Asaph.

Inquiries are continuing and CCTV footage is being studied.
