Search for missing pensioner Pat Howell from Mochdre

A major search is under way for a 72-year-old Conwy woman who has been missing since Friday.

Pat Howell, from Mochdre, was last seen leaving her car in the Caerhun Cemetery car park on the west bank of the River Conwy at 1000 BST on Friday.

The pensioner had told her husband that she was going to church and then for a walk.

The North Wales Police helicopter is involved in the search by officers, coastguards and rescue dogs.

Mrs Howell, who is described as a size 12 to 14, was thought to be wearing black trousers, a black high-neck sweater, and a light coloured coat. She was carrying a walking stick and an Asda bag.
