Lifeboat rescue boys and mother off Pwllheli coast

The coastguard has warned of the dangers of inflatable dinghies after a mother and two young boys were rescued off the coast of Pwllheli in Gwynedd.

The woman had swum out to the dinghy after it was carried out to sea by an off-shore wind.

She was rescued, along with the boys, a mile out to sea after she became exhausted.

Holyhead coastguard said the dinghies should only be used in the sea if they are secured with a rope.
