Anglesey rock rescue man airlifted by RAF

A man has been airlifted to hospital from rocks near a jetty close to the Wylfa nuclear power station on Anglesey.

Two coastguard teams from Holyhead and Cemaes Bay, along with the rescue helicopter from RAF Valley, responded to the call at 2000 BST on Monday.

A spokesman for Holyhead Coastguard said the man had sustained injuries to his lower leg.

The area near Cemaes is popular with walkers and fishermen.
