Ex North Wales Police worker accused of sex offences

A former senior crime scene investigator, who was employed by North Wales Police, has been charged with sexual offences involving young girls.

Ian Williams, 45, from Anglesey is accused of sexual grooming, sexual assault and the creation of indecent images.

The allegations involve two teenage girls.

Mr Williams, who is on bail, is due to appear before Telford magistrates in Shropshire on Monday.

The investigation was carried out by West Mercia Police who were alerted to allegations involving a girl in their force area.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has also supervised a separate inquiry by North Wales Police.
