Swimmer, 84, in sea rescue at Treaddur Bay, Anglesey
A lifeboat has rescued a 84-year-old woman being carried out by the tide at Treaddur Bay on Anglesey.
Treaddur Bay lifeboat, Holyhead Coastguard and a rescue helicopter from RAF Valley had been sent out to help the woman at lunchtime on Monday.
The swimmer, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, who was wearing only a bathing costume, was taken to hospital.
Holyhead Coastguard urged people to be careful and only go out to sea suitably dressed and equipped.
