Motorist rescued after ravine plunge at Beddgelert

A woman has been rescued from her car after it plunged 20m (65ft) down a ravine in Gwynedd.

A mountain rescue team helped fire-fighters reach the woman after the crash on the A4085 near Beddgelert.

North Wales Fire Service's rope rescue team and mountain rescue volunteers managed to move the woman from the car, which had ended up in the riverbed on Sunday afternoon.

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

It is believed she suffered bruising to her back.
