Three people have been released on police bail following questioning after a farmer was shot in the leg during an alleged robbery in Gwynedd.

North Wales Police said inquiries were continuing into the incident in Rhydyclafdy on the Lleyn peninsula on 15 December.

They had arrested one 18-year-old man, one man, 19, and a 23-year-old woman.

A 55-year-old man was shot, officers said last week.

Police said two guns were stolen along with cash and jewellery.

The raiders left in a getaway car which was later found abandoned.

Three people were arrested and were also questioned about an attempted burglary at an address in the Chwilog area on 20 December.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact North Wales Police on 101, if in Wales, or 0300 3300101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
