Man misses police bail check due to bath, court hears

A man from Rhyl saw in the New Year in a police cell - after he missed officers checking his curfew because he was having a bath.

Michael O'Loughlin, 31, was expected to answer the door to show that he was keeping a 7pm-7am curfew while on bail for alleged burglary at a bookmaker.

Officers popped a card through the letter box and he phoned to explain, but was arrested for breach of bail.

Llandudno magistrates renewed bail, but urged him to bathe outside the curfew.
