Man seriously hurt in attack in Bethesda, Gwynedd

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries following an assault in a Gwynedd town centre.

The 24-year-old was involved in an incident as he walked along High Street in Bethesda during the early hours of New Year's Day.

The local man is currently in Walton Hospital, where his injuries are described as being life threatening.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Det Sgt Brian Kearney of North Wales Police said officers were trying to find out the circumstances that led to the man's injuries.

"We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man being assaulted in Bethesda during the early hours of the morning of New Year's Day and also to anyone who has seen anything unusual during the later stages of the morning up to 11am," he said.
