The funeral of a primary school assistant killed along with her friend in a car crash in Gwynedd on New Year's Day has been held.

Sasha Jarvis, 19, worked in Llanrug, where the car she was travelling in is believed to have hit a wall.

He family said she was a "fun loving and warm person" who loved her family and adored the children at the school.

The funeral of her friend Sian Davies, 21, of Pentir near Bangor, was held on Saturday.

The service for Miss Jarvis took place at St Padarn's Church in Llanberis on Monday.

As well as working at Ysgol Gynradd Llanrug she also had a job at care home in the village where her family said she was well thought of by both guests and staff.

In a statement they added: "Sasha will be missed dearly by all her family and friends following this sudden and most tragic incident. She will never be forgotten."

Both women were former pupils at Ysgol Brynrefail secondary school.

Last week an inquest was opened and adjourned into their deaths.
