Bangor murder: Man remanded on Kelvin Jones murder charge

A 42-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a man from Anglesey in Bangor on Sunday.

David Swift, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody by magistrates at Caernarfon to appear before the town's crown court later on Wednesday.

Kelvin Jones, 43, originally from Anglesey, died after an alleged attack in Britannia Square, Bangor, where he lived, early on Sunday.

Mr Swift was one of four people held following the death.

A 36-year-old man and 27-year-old woman have been released without charge while a 25-year-old woman has been bailed pending further inquiries.
