Police probe three drugs users' deaths at Anglesey

Police are investigating the deaths of three young men from Anglesey, all known drug users, during the past two weeks.

North Wales Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths of the men from the Llangefni area.

Police say a number of deaths in a short period in the same area is rare.

They are waiting results of toxicology tests. Officers are working with health officials to find out what happened.

Det Chief Insp Andrew Williams said: "Whilst I should stress that we have no credible information to suggest there is a 'rogue batch' of illegal drugs in circulation, people are requested to take the appropriate precautions."

A statement from the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board said: "The health board is examining pathology results and working with the police to investigate whether there may be common factors in recent deaths as a result of substance misuse."
