Motorcyclist killed in crash on A4086 at Nant Peris

A 71-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a crash involving a bus in Snowdonia.

The A4086 at Nant Peris was closed in both directions and traffic diverted following the incident at around 12:40 GMT on Sunday.

Emergency services including the air ambulance, police and paramedics attended.

North Wales Police said the road was likely to remain closed for the rest of the afternoon.

Police, who said the man was not local to the Gwynedd area, are seeking witnesses.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said an ambulance officer in a rapid response vehicle, an emergency ambulance and the Helimed helicopter were sent to the scene before the man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
