John Fozard died after broken glass accident, inquest told
A 66-year-old man died after severing an artery in his leg on broken glass in a rubbish bin, an inquest has heard.
The coroner said he believed John Fozard from Anglesey had been emptying the bin when the broken wine glass tore through its thin polythene and cut him.
The retired photographer tried to stop the bleeding but eventually collapsed in the bathroom from the loss of blood last May, the Llangefni inquest heard.
Coroner Dewi Pritchard-Jones said Mr Fozard's death was accidental.
Pathologist Dr Mark Lord said if he had been able to call emergency services they may have been able to identify a pressure point.
But the speed at which it bled may not have given him enough time to reach the phone.
