A woman had to be airlifted to hospital after she fell while getting a piggyback across rocks at Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd.

Holyhead coastguard said their local team at Abersoch was called out along with the ambulance service at around 20:30 BST on Saturday.

They called an RAF helicopter to the scene because of injuries to her neck and back.

A team from RAF Valley flew the woman to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
