People in Snowdonia have been greeted with the first snowfall of the season.

As the temperature dropped, about 3ins (8cms) fell across the mountain range overnight and had covered most of the slopes by Tuesday morning.

Snowdon Mountain Railway's commercial manager Vince Hughes took this picture on his way up to the summit's visitor centre, Hafod Eryri.

"The sun is shining and the views are absolutely stunning," he said. "The temperatures are not too bad."
