Man bailed over Susan Roberts' death at Rhos-on-Sea

A 61-year-old man has been interviewed and bailed by police on suspicion of manslaughter after a woman collapsed at home and later died in hospital.

The inquest into the death of Susan Roberts, 58, from Rhos-on-Sea, in Conwy county, was adjourned pending further tests to determine the cause of death.

The hearing was told that Ms Roberts collapsed on November 20 and died at Wrexham Maelor Hospital on December 2.

Police said the man has been released on bail while inquiries continue.

John Gittins, the coroner for North Wales East and Central, said at the hearing in Ruthin that "there may have been a delay in assistance being called".

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating the death arrested the man, who is also from Rhos-on-Sea, on December 3 and he has since been released on police bail while inquiries continue."
